Cambodian citizenships granted, 2000-2024

The Cambodian government released documents for new citizenships in the Royal Gazette for more than two decades. This database was compiled using documents published in the Royal Gazette from 2000 to late 2023 — when the government stopped releasing this data — and features more than 4,000 foreign nationals who have been naturalized.

Each entry includes the name of the person, their changed name, date of birth, gender, place of birth and their nationality. Search the database to find businesspersons with alleged links to scam operations, long-term foreigners who are in the good books of the government, civil society workers, athletes and religious leaders.

If you’re interested in a particular person, please let us know and we’re happy to look into them. Search away!

Mekong Independent is hosting data collected by Kouprey. They explain the project in more detail here. The data is also available as a TSV file.
